Rotary Rock Tumbling Red Tigers Eye – Process & Techniques

This is one in a series of Rock Tumbling “How-To” videos that I have been posting on YouTube. This video features me tumbling Red Tigers Eye! Red Tigers Eye is a stunning deep, red stone that, like Tiger’s Eye, has an amazing flash in the light! Unlike Blue Tiger’s Eye, Red Tiger’s Eye does not occur naturally, but is the result of heat-treating golden Tiger’s Eye. But it produces a Red that is like very few others and is an amazing addition to a crystal lover’s collection. All Tiger’s Eye is Mohs hardness 7 and is fairly durable in a rock tumbler. It does have a slight tendency to chip off, so keep an eye on it during the later stages. Due to is hard and durable nature – Tumbling Red Tigers Eye is an Beginner level project.

Check out the video below to watch my entire process and see the final shine of this gorgeous Red Tigers Eye!
