
Rotary Rock Tumbling Angelite – Process & Techniques
This is one in a series of Rock Tumbling “How-To” videos that I have been posting on YouTube. This video features me tumbling Angelite! Angelite is a lovely, sky blue colored stone that is closely related to Celestite. This is a fairly soft stone (Mohs 3.5) that requires extra checking and attention to make sure the stones don’t grind down too quickly. It also does not take a high shine, so I used the Dry Polishing method for this tumble. Tumbling Angelite is an Intermediate level project.
