Red Jasper – (Root & Sacral Chakra) – (Zodiac of Taurus)
Red Jasper is another stone that I grew up with. It was plentiful on the Oregon Coast. During our frequent weekend camping trips on the coast, my family would gather buckets of stones from the shore, bring them home, and polish them. Red Jasper made up a large majority. These memories make this stone feel a little bit like home to me. Find out the Red Jasper spiritual properties and how you can benefit from their supportive and healing blessings!
The Science of Red Jasper
Jasper is part of the Chalcedony family, which is then a part of the Quartz family. Jasper is a common stone that comes in many varieties (yellow, green, banded, mookaite, orbicular, and many, many more!). There is a Jasper color for every Chakra!
Historical Significance of Red Jasper
The name Jasper comes from the Greek word for “spotted stone.” There is a beautiful natural occurrence of Jasper in Venezuela called Jasper Falls. It is a waterfall that flows over an enormous bed of Red Jasper and is such a stunning sight!
